Founded in 2022 by Kayte Hamilton, The Social Question emerged from a unique intersection of professional expertise and personal experience. As a millennial digital marketing and consumer insights career professional, Kayte observed how social media was reshaping consumer opinions and decision-making processes. However, her journey took an unexpected turn when after 10 years moderating focus groups, her progressive, bilateral hearing loss began disrupting her career goals.

Coming from a family with a history of hearing challenges, Kayte realized that her ability to moderate traditional focus groups was becoming limited. This personal challenge sparked an innovative idea: Why not leverage the increasing shift towards text-based communication on social media platforms?
